you are fine... everything is still connected because the split is lengthwise. nutrients can still flow well through a lengthwise split...
the bad splits are all the way through the vine ... so that you have no connection, two separate pieces.

I need help too!!! should I bury the vine? it's right where the stump comes out of the ground, with another starting higher up...email [email protected] please!
