Pre-emergent = a layer of plastic Postemergent = Roundup or any Glyphosate product

Plastic is good. However, if you have a large area to cover, try Preen with the PURPLE cap. It is made of 100% corn meal gluten. Don't know yet how well it works, but worms LOVE corn meal.
