Hi John. Has it been hot up in VT this season? Have you had any problems with aborts? Do you just shade the female or did you do ice and a fan? Thanks!

Hi Eric. We have been on a temperature roller coaster with either hot and humid or cool and cloudy. I put a 2 foot by 2 foot Styrofoam board over each baby about 3 days before pollination From that day forward the pumpkin has some sort of a roof over it and once it is 5-8 days old it will also be covered with a sheet.
