Just planted my pumpkin plants on Sunday. Watering my plants tonight & saw small bugs on the leaves. They were yellow with black stripes & had wings. I was wondering if they are good or bad for the leaves? Should I spray the plants to kill the bugs or leave them alone? any help would be appreciated

Also get a systemic like Merit...A contact like Triazicide needs to be sprayed every time it rains. Sevin tend to burn tender pumpkin leaves.

Garlic Tea works also just not as effective...

if the liquid strength is 22% then use 1 1/2 oz. per gal - no more often then every 7 days

Garlic powder works as repellant. Eight dust (permethrin) will kill them. Get rid of those bugs, they wrecked 2 plants for me and my son 2 days after planting.

I put sevin on and it is killing the bugs. Found 2 more bugs that look like a small stink beatle any thoughs what they may be. do you out the garlic powder on right of the container?

that's good to here! The stink beatle may be a squash bug. Bayer makes a good systemic and I rotate that with daconil.
