I bought the spin down sediment filter at Lowes

Seems very similar to a Rusco but anyway it works really well and I wanted to get a new finer mesh filter for it. When they say 3/4 or 1 inch, are they measuring the filter diameter or something else? Not sure which replacement to order as I don't know which measurement to use. Thanks

On the filters I've bought, the diameter given is the size of the pipe the filter is attached to. I would think it would be the same with the filter you're looking at.
