For anyone who uses a fish emulsion like Neptune's Harvest - about how much do you tend to apply and how often? I don't want to over fertalize, but of course I want to give it as much as it needs! Thanks!

I use Neptune's Harvest fish/seaweed blend. Early on, I use it as a soil drench every third watering. As the plants get bigger, I spray it on the leaves. A fellow grower told me it is better to spray when it is dark. I spray 2 to 3 times a week (at night) and the plants look fine. It does not appear that too much fish/seaweed whould hurt the plants. However, it may hurt your wallet. Good luck!

Not sure if this is correct ! But it seams to work fine, I have one of thouse mirical grow feeders that have a pint bottle & attches to hose , I fill it with fish & seasweed 75% & 25% ,sometimes some molassas , sometimes abit of calicum & A bit of humic acid, sometimes some boiled hot pepper water Strained, (squrills-pluss it seems to be good for plants), & spray on stump only short time , but mostly around plant perimeter & out several feet beyond, I use that amount for 2 plants about every 5- to- 8 days . Im sure a bit more s ok !

We use fish emulsion (Alaska brand 5-1-1) as a drench, over the years we found that by foliarly spraying the early leaves they start breaking down and by the end of the season they are gone leaving a big ole hole right near the stump and down the middle, last year we backed off foliarly applying until the plant was mature and had our best season ever.

We used 2 oz/gal as a drench today & 1 oz/gal as a foliar using North American (or at least I think that was the brand) Fish Emulsion. We do the same for Seaweed.
