Hi all,
First time trying to grow a giant pumpkin. Currently at 101 estimated weight and have a problem. Was looking for help with what this is on my atlantic giant pumpkin leaves. I have applied copper fungicide which i belive has slowed it down.
Let me know your thoughts on what it is and or help treating.

I was looking at the pics in an effort to do a Google visual search and I hope I didn't mess them up for you - there are like 2 or 3 now that have a red X in the middle of each. I do not know what the leaves' problems are butt I'd say that there is likely an infestation causing the dry, brown areas in the thousands, but I was more concerned about the goofed pics if nothing else. I'd see through them with a strong flashlight at night for a better feel for if there is an insect horde at fault, whereas I've never seen the problem depicted. There will be other answers and better at that! Check your pics and I hope I didn't foul them up. eric g

I think i fixed picture. No big deal. As for the leaves. I've never seen bugs anywhere. I tried the Google picture search and it said maybe spider mite thrips or bacterial. I leaned towards bacterial and did copper fungicide.

You know better than I do at any point, really, lol. Cuke beetles, PM and my feet are my plants' worst enemies. They are my Usual Suspects. There may be advice at some point to take one leaf and beat the tar out of it over a white piece of paper or similar to see any residue or little monsters themselves; Just something I saw once about something similar. Keep after it and perhaps a previous afflictee will chime in. eric g

Update The spots after treating with copper fungicide are drying up. Does not seem to be spreading anymore. The leaf has stayed green except the affected areas are falling off. So i will just have holey leave i guess. I'm going to make sure that i apply copper at a maintenance dose weekly now.

You are a Master of Self-Help, lol. I hope that that is that and you don't see spots anymore! Take care---eric g
