Garden State Pumpkins, little egg harbor

Somebody aid it was a Jeopardy question...Pumpkins seeds that are shellless thast are dried and eaten as is...what was the variety of this seed??? I never heard of shell less seeds?

That type of pumpkin does exist it is called a hull-less seed pumpkin. Some types I've found are "naked seed", "lady godiva", "snackjack", "godiva hulless bush", "mini-jack", "styrian hulless", "triple treat", and "trick or treat". From what i can find all are pepos, have low germination rates, are comercially produced, have very thin flesh, and 400+ seed counts in even 2-3 lb. pumpkins. Hope this helps.
