The 1727 is leaning back which is causing the main vine to press down into the ground. I cut a slit in the weed fabric and removed a trench of soil under the main vine to try and alleviate that stress. This thing is really starting to melt and shape shift which is going to be a challenge to deal with as time goes on, especially with this pathetic stem. Porkchop's analogy about being on a bull is feeling very poignant right now!
