Trouble in pumpkin paradise.
Big Booty Judy's booty was so large even she couldn't hang. Split her blossom end wide open which unfortunately means she's as good as compost.
She was slow and steady putting on around 20 pounds per day over the past week. Lots of growing time left in the season so I'm sure she had personal best potential. What could have been.
We have had on and off torrential rain the past few days, combined with heat and humidity. I anticipate a rapid growth spurt, combined with her oddly shaped blossom end, both contributed to the split.
Her OTT at 34 DAP was 240.75" for a chart estimated weight of 330lbs. I did cut her into chunks and weighed each piece. Her unofficial weight was 348lbs, 5.3% heavy to chart.
